OAPN #2 — Pylon Launch

We launch Pylon with a live audience at PlebLab and show what it looks like when spare compute starts earning bitcoin inside an open marketplace.

In our second OAPN episode, we launch Pylon: OpenAgents’ compute miner node software for selling spare compute for bitcoin in a permissionless open marketplace.

This episode was recorded live with an audience at PlebLab, where participants joined the Pylon network and earned bitcoin firsthand. It marks another step toward the broader OpenAgents vision of turning idle machines, idle resources, and agent coordination into real economic activity on open networks.

Pylon is not just a product launch. It is a glimpse at a new coordination layer for machine work, where people can contribute compute directly and get paid directly.

We also go beyond the launch itself. The conversation touches on the absurdity of closed model “launches” nobody can actually use, the role of open systems in reshaping AI infrastructure, monetary rails for agents, and the increasingly strange future that seems to be arriving all at once.

If OAPN #220 introduced the worldview, OAPN #221 shows more of the system starting to come alive.
